I bought this item for my Dell XPS 15 and I have to say I'm impressed. When I brought it out of the packaging, I was disappointed to find out it's thin plastic, but after using for a bit - this thing is sturdy! Used on my bed, the legs pulled half way down is the perfect height and it doesn't even wiggle. The cooling fan is located in the perfect position and is effective at cooling my laptop. The only thing that could be better is the LED light - the "arm" it's on is too short to be practical and doesn't stay where you put it. Aside for lighting your keyboard in the dark if you don't have a backlit device, the light is pretty much useless.

I bought this laptop stand mainly for overheating problems on my laptop. The fan does a good job of keeping it running cool, while it runs quite silently. Sound is not disturbing at all. The stand itself is sturdy and well-built. It stands firm on floor or even in bed. Area on the right for mouse, has a nice surface which also doubles as mousepad, and is really useful. USB light and charging ports are useful too, but I can live without that.

When you raise it to its highest, it may not feel all that stable and well put. That's the only thing which makes me give it a 4. Else it's a very good product to buy, totally worth the money.
